I am 48 with 2 grown kids;  living FINALLY with the soulmate I met in college in 1978; no grands yet but lots of neices/nephews to love; disabled 5 yrs ago(Fibromyalgia); was an RN for 21 yrs;now I focus on multimedia art, designing, and making jewelry. On a spiritual level...I have always been a bit heathen, then joyfully discovered that magick IS real when I found Paganism some 16 years ago...with my BFF Ginger,we co-founded/co-lead the Appalachian Pagan Alliance(APA) to foster understanding among all flavors of Pagans, Wiccans, Witches, and other  non-Pagan faiths as well. APA sponspors open Pagan celebrations such as May 1(May Day), complete with a  Maypole! Everyone can come SEE what happens--and what does NOT happen--at a gathering. We participate in Asheville's Annual Earth Religions Awareness Week, do guest lectures about Earth Religions to college classes/groups on request,  join in other group rituals such as an Ancestor Remembrance Ritual on October31st. APA has a Yahoo group for anyone anywhere;  a website as well: http://www.angelfire.com/nb/appalachianpagan/index.html.

Monday, Monday

Hello, greetings, Merry Meet, & all that good greeting stuff.

We are definitely into fall in NC now---nice and cool days, chill nights with bits of frost. Jack Frost has painted the leaves in stunning gold, scarlet, glossy brown, bright orange, and lovely mottled mixtures of all the colors. Acorns and beechnuts crackle underfoot as we walk. I LOVE it!

My fall decorating is done, now that my cornucopia is complete! The wicker corucopia overflows with fruits and veggies, with more veggies in the silver bowl; leaves cascade onto the stovetop with more candles(pumpkins & corn cobs) with fall mums, and colored leaves.

How is Autumn where you are??!!
