LUXOR, ROME, CAIRO, & GIZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi folks!
I know I'm ahead of myself with the pics, but I'd been to Egypt before and Rome is just so DAMN BEAUTIFUL! I HAD to start with pics from there, though the itinerary was as above.
Our hotel, a 200+ year-old family owned place caled Il Cielo, was a perfect jewel-box place. It was small, which is usual for Europe (as I understood from guide books) but perfect in every detail.......like a tiny Biltmore House. And we could see the Collosueum from our windows; it was barely a block away.

This wonderful view, and a few more like it, are what I've been up to in early March! Then I had to do some serious recovery! This Trevi Fountain pic is quite still compared to midday! And the fountain is HUGE!!!! Everywhere was thr ever-present gelato. It really isthe best dessert in Italy.

Many cafe's that we saw and enjoyed meals in were out doors or had both in and outdoor seating. It was nice just people-watching with a cappucino, which we did in from of the Pantheon.

Unfortunately, the Vatican was closed, so we didn't get to go there, but did see the Capitoline museum.
I'll post more later as I get more of my personal pics uploaded..........try Empressginger at Webshots as well!
